Having been drawn in a group with Germany, Ghana and the USA, Portugal will play the Eagles in their first game of the campaign on 16th June in Salvador, and Almeida, who plays for Turkish club Besiktas, is hoping his side can prove their mettle on the field and bring home the cup.

“First of all, we want to get through the group stage”, the 29-year-old was quoted as saying by FIFA’s official website.
