Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood believes that his team may encounter a nervous Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Spurs suffered a 5-0 drubbing at White Hart Lane against Liverpool earlier this season and now have the chance to make amends in a Premier League fixture which is hugely important for both teams.

With Liverpool sitting second in the table and challenging for the title, Sherwood believes there may be more of a nervous look about the Reds and that may well play into Spurs' hands.

He said via his club's feed: "I know what a title run-in is like, it can be edgy, so hopefully we’ll catch a more nervous Liverpool side on Sunday."

The Tottenham boss is though wary of Liverpool's front two of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, who both have 20 plus goals each in the league this season.

"We respect that they have one of best strike partnerships, Suarez and Sturridge are scoring for fun and we have to try to stop them", Sherwood explained.

Tottenham may have to make do without striker Emmanuel Adebayor at Anfield however, with Sherwood admitting he is a doubt due to a cut on the back of his heel.
