Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has cut a satisfied figure after his side's 1-1 draw against Arsenal.

Pellegrini saw his men take the lead at the Emirates Stadium, scoring through David Silva in the 18th minute. Arsenal then managed to claw themselves level in the second half when Mathieu Flamini hit the back of the net.

No further goals meant a point apiece for each side and, having won the Manchester derby 3-0 on Tuesday, Pellegrini is reasonably happy with where his side find themselves.

"I think it's a good point because we've played away in this league against Manchester United and Arsenal. Four points against two big teams. I think it's not bad", the Chilean told Sky Sports.

However, given his side's superiority in the first half, Pellegrini thinks if any team deserved to win, it would have been his team.

"I think so [we deserved to be further ahead at half-time].

"At least we had four or five crosses from the right side which we did not finish well.

"If a team deserved to win, it was our team."
