Roberto Martinez has explained that he was extremely pleased with Everton’s display in their 3-1 win over Fulham yesterday.
After a goalless first-half at Craven Cottage, David Stockdale’s own-goal gave the Toffees a 51st minute lead.

The hosts equalised through Ashkan Dejagah in the 71st minute before substitute Kevin Mirallas reclaimed Everton’s advantage eight minutes later.
Fellow substitute Steven Naismith scored his side’s third goal in the dying moments of the match as Everton consolidated fifth spot with 60 points from 31 matches, just four points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal, who have played a game more.

And Martinez was full of praise for his side’s “never-say-die-attitude” which enabled them to come out with the full three points against the relegation-threatened outfit.
"The performance was as pleasing as you are going to get”, the manager told his club’s official site.
"We never gave up and kept an important clean sheet in the first half and that allowed us to regroup.
“We then saw a performance full of guts and determination and a never-say-die attitude which is needed as the platform in any winning team.”
