Everton custodian Tim Howard has declared that his side are aiming to avenge their FA Cup loss against Arsenal by coming out with a positive result versus the Gunners at the weekend.

The Toffees, who are currently fifth in the Premier League with 60 points from 31 games, four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, were knocked out from the domestic cup competitions after going down 4-1 against Arsene Wenger’s side in early March.

Everton have played a league game less than Arsenal, and Howard insists that his side are gunning to catch the Emirates Stadium outfit in the Premier League table.

However the goalkeeper, who revealed that Everton are relishing the prospect of facing Arsenal at Goodison Park on Sunday, admitted that his side are not favourites to finish the season in fourth spot despite having a game in hand.

“It's in our hands because we have a game in hand and we have to play them, but there is still have that four-point lead so it is difficult.”
