Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is looking forward to testing his skills against Barcelona manager and fellow Argentine Tata Martino and believes that it says a lot about Argentine football when the top two Spanish clubs in the league have Argentine managers at the helm.
Simeone has garnered praise from all corners for building a team that are good enough to challenge the stranglehold that Barcelona and Real Madrid have over Spanish football.

Speaking before his Atletico Madrid team take on Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals, Simeone believes Martino’s performance in one of Europe’s top leagues showcases the strength of Argentine football.
“There'll be an Argentinean coach in the semis and that's good for Argentinean football”, Simone was quoted as saying by AS.

Simeone is all praise for Martino’s first year as manager of Barcelona and insists that the Argentine has handled the pressure of managing one of Europe’s top clubs admirably.
“Tata has adapted very well to Barca, they won the Super Cup, are in the final of the cup, fighting for the title and Champions League quarters.”
Simeone is proud of the fact that both he and Martino are Argentines who are spreading the football culture of their homeland to foreign shores.
“We adapt our style. Both of our personalities and the essence of our country is what we transmit.”
Simeone’s Atletico Madrid will take on Martino’s Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Camp Nou tonight.
