Edinson Cavani has put his many suitors on alert by admitting he needs to hold talks with Paris Saint-Germain in the summer before deciding whether to stay into next season.

But the Uruguayan has played a support role to main man Zlatan Ibrahimovic – and that has not sat well with the Uruguay international.

"Developing next to great players such as Zlatan, the Thiagos [Motta and Silva, ed.] and Pocho [Ezequiel Lavezzi, ed.] is great", Cavani explained to L'Equipe.

"But for a striker who is used to completing moves, used to scoring and who has to carry out other tasks today, it is not easy, no."

And that calls Cavani's PSG future into question, with the Uruguayan speaking words which will be music to the ears of suitors Chelsea and Manchester United.

"Will I always be a Parisian? We will see at the end of the season.

"I like it in Paris, but there are definitely things that have to be discussed with the club, things that have to be done differently."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently declared his view that signing Cavani is an impossibility. He may now reassess that thinking.

"He just arrived in [PSG] six months ago", the Portuguese said in Februrary.

"Maybe he's so happy he doesn't want to leave and maybe the club is happy and they don't want him to leave."
