Barcelona have confirmed that Gerard Pique sustained a pelvic contusion during his side’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-final first leg last night.
The central-defender picked up the injury after landing awkwardly following an aerial tussle with Diego Costa, who also picked up a hamstring injury in the game and had to be substituted.

Pique hobbled off the field in the 10th minute at the Camp Nou, where Neymar equalised for Barcelona in the 71st minute after Diego put the visitors in front in the 56th minute.
The 27-year-old Spanish international will undergo tests today to determine the extent of the injury, but the defender is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks.

If that is the case, then Pique will not be able to take part in the crucial second leg at the Vicente Calderon on 9th April.
