Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has explained why he thinks Paris Saint-Germain hold an edge over his team in their Champions League quarter-final clash.

The French league leaders have a group of top class players which includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Thiago Silva among others.

The Portuguese manager feels that it is their attacking depth that make Les Parisiens favourites against his side, ahead of tonight's first leg at the Parc des Princes.

"They have a team full of fantastic attacking players and goalscorers and that is what really makes the difference in this level", Mourinho told his club's official site.

Commenting on the condition of all the teams in the Champions League quarter-final stage Mourinho said: "You look at the teams in the last eight. All of them are good teams.

"They are different teams but good teams with good structures and with a certain philosophy. After that you see [Lionel] Messi, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, [Robert] Lewandowski, Diego Costa, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Lavezzi, and PSG have lots of them.

"I have watched many Paris matches and I think Laurent [Blanc] has a clear philosophy.

"The way they play is the way they play. Even against Bayer Leverkusen in the second leg when they changed all three midfield players their philosophy was the same, the positional play was the same and this is a very good quality for a team", the former Real Madrid boss added.
