Chairman of Together Leeds, Mike Farnan, insists that the Yorkshire giants cannot be allowed to enter administration, vowing to work with prospective owner Massimo Cellino to avoid that eventuality.

Cellino has seen the Football League disqualify his bid to buy Leeds, a judgement he is appealing against, but the Italian businessman is now talking to the Together Leeds consortium.

Leeds' players deferred 50 per cent of their salary for March and there are continued reports that the club will be in financial trouble if Cellino's purchase of 75 per cent is not successful.

And Together Leeds, who saw current owners GFH Capital choose Cellino's bid instead of theirs, are keen to help Leeds avoid administration.

"It makes sense. Whatever happens this club cannot be allowed to go into administration.

"We would be a tremendous support to him because he's charged in a little bit and made some decisions that haven't gone down too well.

"The club cannot be allowed to go into administration because the implications are massive."
