Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has brushed off concerns that it is easier to chase than lead in the Premier League title race, explaining he believes that a number of teams would swap places with the Reds.

The Merseyside giants currently sit top of the table with 71 points from 32 games, two points clear of second-placed Chelsea, with just six games left for them to play this term.

It has been suggested the pressure is now all on Liverpool to remain ahead of the pack, but Rodgers does not see it like that.

"I'm not so sure [it’s easier to chase than lead]", he told a press conference.

"Probably a lot of teams would swap with where we are in the league.

"For me it's the concentration and performance, and we've been performing to a really high level.

"Every game in the Premier League is a difficult game and they are all difficult games to win, but the way we have been playing gives us great confidence going into these remaining games."

Liverpool, who have three of their last six games at home at Anfield, are next in action on Sunday away at West Ham United.
