Cesc Fabregas could be set to disappoint his many suitors by insisting on a stay at Barcelona this summer.

The Blaugrana are thought to be ready to consider offers for the Spaniard this summer, if they are sufficiently large, and Manchester United and Manchester City are sniffing around. Arsenal meanwhile have a clause which would give them first refusal on their former player.

But according to El Mundo Deportivo, Fabregas is opposed to leaving Barcelona and believes he may well be favoured by the club's new coach.

Gerardo Martino is expected to stand down from his post as coach at the end of the season, to be replaced by former Celta Vigo tactician Luis Enrique.

Fabregas believes that Enrique would count on him in the Blaugrana engine room, something which would take him off the market and give him cause to remain at the Camp Nou.

The former Arsenal midfielder has made 34 appearances in La Liga for Barcelona so far this season, chipping in with eight goals.
