QPR have agreed to lower their asking price for Adel Taarabt, but AC Milan are pushing for a further reduction if they are to sign the Moroccan on a permanent basis.

Taarabt has impressed Milan during his loan stint at the club and is keen to remain at the San Siro rather than return to Loftus Road.

However, a deal will need to be done to allow the former Tottenham Hotspur man to continue his Italian adventure.

QPR had initially wanted £6m for Taarabt, but have agreed to reduce this sum, asking for €6m (£4.9m).

But according to Italian daily Tuttosport, the Rossoneri do not want to pay more than between €3.5m and €4m for the 24-year-old.

It remains to be seen if QPR will shift their position once again, especially with the knowledge that Taarabt has become a firm favourite at Milan.

The Moroccan has made 12 appearances in Serie A for Milan this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
