Nicolas Gaitan's agent has admitted his client will study any proposals which land at his feet and which he considers to be a step forward in his career.

The Benfica midfielder has been strongly linked with a number of clubs in recent days, including Manchester United and Liverpool in England, while Inter in Italy are mooted as suitors, and French sides Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are firm fans of the 26-year-old.

Benfica are thought willing to sell Gaitan should a suitable offer arrive and the player's agent concedes his client will consider proposals put to him if the Portuguese club accept a bid.

"First, Benfica need to tell me he can be sold, then we'll see what happens", Jose Iribarren told FC Inter News.

"Whatever may be regarded as a step forward for him, we might consider", he continued.

However, Gaitan's agent insists that his client's focus at present remains on the forthcoming Europa League final.

"[Now] he only thinks of the Europa League final, which would be a very important milestone for his career."
