Paris Saint-Germain skipper Thiago Silva is expected to miss his team's last two league matches due to exhaustion, manager Laurent Blanc has revealed.

Les Parisiens have already been crowned the French champions and with just two matches now remaining, the motivation for now is to break the total points record of 84, held so far by Lyon in the French league.

However, with just a month remaining until the World Cup, Blanc believes that it wouldn't be ideal to take chances with some of the key players.

The 48-year-old adds that Silva is now concentrating on his country, Brazil, which he believes, "have a chance of winning the World Cup."

"Thiago Silva will not play [against Lille]," Blanc told FIFA's official site, adding that the Brazilian could be rested for their final game as well.

"As the goals have been achieved he wants to heal himself, it's understandable.

He also revealed that the 29-year-old is "physically and mentally exhausted."

Silva's national team start off their World Cup campaign against Croatia on 12th June, in Sao Paulo.
