In-demand Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has admitted he is keen to play Champions League football, letting slip his wish when questioned about Real Madrid.

Los Blancos are the latest club linked with moving to snap up the Croatian, whose contract with Sevilla expires at the end of the season.

His looming availability has already attracted Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea, interest which the midfielder feels "honoured" to have received.

Sevilla are in the Europa League final, where they will face Benfica, but they will not finish higher than fifth in La Liga this season, missing out on a top four Champions League spot.

"Real Madrid? You have to wait for the European final and also the World Cup, so we'll see", the Croatian told Kicker.

"This year we have taken a big step forward, but for every footballer contesting the Champions League is a great goal", Rakitic added.
