Arsene Wenger believes that Arsenal winning the FA Cup can be a "turning point" in the life of the current Gunners side.

Wenger watched his men concede two early goals to Hull, slipping 2-0 down and looking in trouble. But a wonder-free-kick from Santi Cazorla reduced the deficit, while Arsenal then scored again to have the match at 2-2 after 90 minutes.

Aaron Ramsey then popped up for Arsenal in extra-time, scoring to help Arsenal win 3-2 and end a long trophy drought, which had run since 2005.

"We wanted to make history tonight and win the game. We made history in both ways, how not to start a cup final and how to come back", Wenger told ITV.

"I'm very happy for the players because I think it was a turning point for the players in their life and the life of this team", he added.

"I praised many times the spirit of this team and I'm very proud of that tonight."
