Italy manager Cesare Prandelli has revealed that his squad are tailor-made to play in the final of the World Cup in Brazil.

The 2006 champions have been drawn against England, Uruguay and Costa Rica in Group D and are expected to face tough competition at a very early stage of the competition.

However, the 56-year-old is confident about his side's ability to overcome every hurdle on their way to make it to the final of the tournament.

"We want to get to the final," Prandelli told FIFA's official website.

"Because this squad has been designed with getting to the final in mind.

"Everyone here is brimming with enthusiasm, and that's pleasing. We all have to remember we're preparing for the World Cup."

Prandelli's side begin their campaign against England on 14th June, and the former Roma manager is confident that his team can start their campaign with a victory against Roy Hodgson and his side.

"It will be important to take three points from our first game and in the process beat a strong team."
