Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that the most important thing for him is to have an "ambitious mind."

The Chilean manager won two major trophies in his first year in charge, but is hungry for more and adds that he will be looking for reinforcements to collect more silverware.

Pellegrini's team managed to score a record 102 league goals this season, as they finished at the top with 86 points.

However, staying competitive and ambitious is what Pellegrini believes his team should look to do.

"I think one of the most important things for me is to have an ambitious mind," the 60-year-old told City TV.

"It is very important to win the title but these two titles will not be useful the next year.

"We must analyse all the good things we did, all the bad things, where we must improve, which is the best way to do it. We have a lot of work.

As far as signing players are concerned, the former Real Madrid manager added: "Maybe. We are going to see which is the best way to improve."
