Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez feels his nation can hurt England in the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.

Uruguay are in Group D of the showpiece event along with England, Italy and Costa Rica, with La Celeste’s clash with the Three Lions scheduled on 19th June in Sao Paulo.

The 27-year-old will come up against a number of his Liverpool team-mates along with a clutch of other Premier League stars in the epic contest.

And Suarez, who admitted that England are in the league of the “big teams”, is however confident about Uruguay exploiting the chinks in the armour of Roy Hodgson’s side.

"They have very good players that are in form and that are part of the big teams", the Uruguayan told Liverpool’s official site.

"Most of the players come from the big names of the Premier League and that means a lot.

"But we also know that they have some troubles and we know we can hurt them."

Suarez enjoyed a superb 2013/14 season in Liverpool colours as he helped the Reds to finish second in the Premier League by scoring 31 league goals, the highest in the division.
