Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has backed Diego Costa to thrive at his former club Chelsea, if the Atletico Madrid striker makes the move from Los Rojiblancos this summer.

Costa has been strongly linked with heading to solve Chelsea's striking woes this summer, with the Blues thought ready to pay his release clause of €38m.

And Ancelotti, who has seen Costa up close in La Liga this season and will be hoping to keep the Spain international quiet tomorrow in the Champions League final, believes he would succeed at Chelsea.

"Diego Costa? He's a good player and really dangerous", Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.

"If he goes to Chelsea? A really good player and he would embody the Chelsea style of play, the counter-attack", the Italian added.

Costa will be be bidding to shoot down Real Madrid in Lisbon tomorrow as Atletico Madrid line up against Los Blancos in the biggest game in club football.

The striker will then have the chance to shine at the World Cup with Spain.
