Former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf is all set to return to England as a deal with Stoke City is all but done.

Stoke are ready to make Diouf their second signing of the summer after Phil Bardsley joined the Potters yesterday, according to the Press Association.

The Senegalese striker’s contract with Hannover is set to expire this summer and the player has decided to move to the Britannia Stadium on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old striker made his foray into English football with Manchester United in 2009, but only managed five appearances and a solitary goal at the club

Diouf then spent a season on loan at Blackburn, but only scored three league goals in 26 appearances.

The striker has earned 18 caps for Senegal on the international stage and scored three times for Les Lions de la Teranga.
