Sunderland goalkeeper Oscar Ustari admits he is open to returning to Spain.

The Argentine custodian is out of contract with Sunderland this summer and, though the Black Cats would like to keep him, appears likely to quit the club in search of regular first team football.

Already Ustari's agent has held talks with Serie A side Lazio, while Southampton are eyeing keeping him within England.

The goalkeeper has sent a come-and-get-me plea to Spanish sides though, having played for Almeria before joining Sunderland earlier this year.

"I'm in love with Spain, I really like Spain, the people, the quality of life", Ustari told Fichajes.

"I had the misfortune to be injured at the club where I was that made me feel a little neglected.

"The truth is that I'd go back.

"I love the league too. I feel I identified with the league, with how people live it. I have fond memories."
