Kim Kallstrom has revealed he had a long talk with Arsene Wenger before departing London for international duty with Sweden and is not ruling out returning to Arsenal.

The Sweden international midfielder joined the Gunners on loan from Russian outfit Spartak Moscow in January, but was forced to wait to make his debut due to a back injury.

It has been suggested Kallstrom will be heading back to Spartak Moscow this summer, however there could be further twists in the story between the 31-year-old and the Gunners.

Asked by Swedish daily Expressen whether he could rule out a return to Arsenal, he replied: "We'll see."

Pressed on how possible a return is, he added: "I do not know. We'll see."

And Kallstrom revealed a chat with Wenger prior to his departure.

"We talked a lot, but what we said stays between us.

"It's nothing I can say now, but they were very pleased with my performances and with what I did there."

Kallstrom has just one year remaining on his contract at Spartak Moscow.
