Christian Eriksen is happy after Tottenham Hotspur ended a run of four Premier League games without a victory to hand boss Mauricio Pochettino a win over former club Southampton.
There was one goal in the clash at White Hart Lane, with it coming from Eriksen's boot in the 40th minute. The Dane took advantage of a lay-off from winger Nacer Chadli to drive the ball home.
Chadli also nearly got in on the scoring act himself, but he saw a shot come back off the post.
The Saints shaded possession in the clash, with the ball 55 per cent of the time, but they trailed on shots, with Spurs registering nine to the visitors' seven.
"We have not had that many good home games so far, so we are pleased with three points", Eriksen told BBC Radio 5 live.

"We had some chances especially in the first half and some smaller chances in the second half.
"Other games we haven't scored them but today we did. The players know each other but the system we have to connect it, and there is progress every time we play", the midfielder added.
Spurs now head into the international break with eleven points from seven games. Their next fixture sees them head to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City on 18th October.
