Glen Johnson feels firmly on the road back from injury for Liverpool and is looking forward to getting up to speed with the Reds through further first team action.
The right-back picked up a thigh injury in a defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in August and only made his return with a 26-minute appearance against West Brom on Saturday.
Johnson is now looking forward to building up his match fitness and getting his season up and running.
"It's been frustrating for me as no player wants to be injured. I feel good and it's about match fitness now. The body feels good so I just need to get some training sessions and I can take it from there", he was quoted as saying by the club's official site.
"It's been frustrating to watch because you want to be out there with the lads, and you want to be out there even more when it is not going too well", the England international added.

"The most important thing for me was getting fit and hoping the lads could pull us through while I was not able to help.
"It is difficult when you have bad periods but that's football. It was always going to be a difficult start with all the changes and all the expectation but in football you have these ups and downs", Johnson concluded.
Liverpool edged out West Brom 2-1 at Anfield at the weekend and have now moved on to ten points from seven games in the Premier League this season.
