Celtic manager Ronny Deila feels that John Guidetti did well this evening in the Bhoys' 3-0 win over Partick Thistle.

It took only one minute for Celtic to take the lead against Patrick Thistle, with new signing Gary Mackay-Steven doing the business and putting the Bhoys ahead by poking home a Stefan Johansen cross.

Mackay-Steven's fellow new signing Stuart Armstrong then doubled Celtic's advantage in the 30th minute, putting the Scottish champions 2-0 up.

Johansen then fired in Celtic's third in the 66th minute, being set up by Guidetti and hitting the ball well to put his side 3-0 up.

And that was too much for Partick Thistle to overcome, Celtic grabbing a 3-0 win and moving three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Deila was asked for his view on Guidetti's performance tonight and declared himself pleased, telling Celtic TV: "He worked very hard and he's been working very hard in training as well.

"The win was most important and he played a part."

And Mackay-Steven was quick to express his delight at the role he played in the win.

"To score so early settled some nerves and it was a great day all round", he said.

"I'm here just over a week and was just itching to play my first game. I just wanted to be out there with the boys, it was a great experience."
