Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini believes his side have returned to their "normal" performance level following a 4-1 drubbing of Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this evening.
The Citizens took the lead when Sergio Aguero scored in the 33rd minute, though quickly found themselves pegged back when Peter Crouch struck just five minutes later to make sure the match would be level at 1-1 at the half time break.
In the second half James Milner popped up in the 55th minute to restore Manchester City's advantage before Aguero grabbed his second from the penalty spot in the 70th minute.
Samir Nasri then rounded off the win for the visitors in the 76th minute, handing them a vital three points and ensuring Chelsea did not widen the gap at the top of the table.
And Pellegrini was delighted, being quoted as saying by the BBC: "We returned to our normal performance, especially in the second half. We scored three goals in the second half and had more chances.

"It is important, not just the score, but also because it is not easy to score four goals at Stoke.
"They have been the difficult team for us to score against while I have been here. It is a tough place to come.
"The most important thing was to win and in the way we did today."
Next up for Manchester City is a visit from Newcastle United on 21st February.
