Steven Gerrard will undergo scans today to determine the extent of his hamstring injury, which he picked up against Tottenham on Tuesday and now is a major doubt for Liverpool’s FA Cup fifth round tie at Crystal Palace.
The Liverpool captain limped off in his side's 3-2 win over Tottenham at Anfield with a hamstring concern and Reds assistant manager Colin Pascoe has revealed that they are anxiously waiting for the scan results, which will determine whether the veteran midfielder features for them against the Eagles this weekend.
"Unfortunately, he felt his hamstring towards the end of the game”, the Welshman said in a press conference this morning as he stood in for Brendan Rodgers.
“And he is having a scan this morning and we are just waiting for results to come back."
Liverpool are already without Lucas Leiva, who is out with a thigh injury, and they will be hoping that their captain is declared fit for their trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
