Real Madrid are eyeing a summer swoop for FC Porto’s Brazilian full-back Danilo and are ready to use midfielder Casemiro as a bargaining chip in their negotiations with the Portuguese giants.

The 23-year-old full-back has been in impressive form for Portuguese giants this season and has attracted interest from all quarters with his consistent performances at the Estadio do Dragao.

Real Madrid have been keeping a close eye on the Brazilian for some time now and recently sent a scout to Portugal to keep tabs on the performances of the full-back.

Impressed with his showing at Porto, Los Blancos have earmarked the full-back as a target for the summer and are now laying down the groundwork to snare Danilo from Porto.

Real Madrid are aware that Porto are tough negotiators and are known for demanding high transfer fees for their prized assets, but according to Madrid-based daily Marca, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has an ace up his sleeve.

Porto signed Casemiro on a loan deal last summer from Real Madrid and the club have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the season, if they can agree a deal with the European champions.

The Portuguese giants are keen to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal and if Carlo Ancelotti is unwilling to integrate Casemiro into his first team squad, the European champions might include him in the negotiations for Danilo to bring the full-back’s price down in the summer.

Danilo has made 28 appearances for Porto this season, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He has also earned 16 international caps for Brazil.
