Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin feels Eden Hazard signing a new contract with the Blues is good news for the Premier League as a whole.

The Belgian international ended all speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge by penning a new five-and-a-half-year deal with Chelsea yesterday.

The 24-year-old arrived at the club from Lille in the summer of 2012 and is widely regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League at the moment.

He has already scored 13 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions this season and Nevin feels that the Belgian signing a new contract is wonderful news for the Premier League.

Nevin believes Hazard is a special player and him committing to a new long-term deal with Chelsea will further enrich the Premier League.
