Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon is grateful to Manchester United for allowing the Trotters to sign Saidy Janko on loan and stated his belief that the youngster has huge potential.

Janko played in Bolton's 3-1 win over Fulham earlier this week, hitting a superb goal in the process, while also setting up Eidur Gudjohnsen to get on the scoresheet.

The Swiss midfielder is hoping to enjoy regular first team football during his loan stint with the Trotters, which is set to run until the end of the season, and has a firm fan in Lennon.

"He's got real pace and power, which is always an asset", the former Celtic manager told a press conference.

"He was a little bit tentative to start with on his debut, but he grew into the game.

"Once he was in full flow in the second half he made us better, he took us up the pitch", the Northern Irishman continued.

"He's got real potential, a very level headed boy. We're grateful to Manchester United for the opportunity to loan him and we're very excited about having him here."

Janko will be hoping to be handed a starting spot for Bolton tomorrow when Lennon's men host Watford at the Macron Stadium in Championship action.

Bolton have risen up the table under the former Celtic manager and now sit 13th, with 37 points from 30 games to their name.
