Arsene Wenger says Arsenal controlled the game against Middlesbrough this afternoon, after his Gunners side eased into the FA Cup quarter-finals courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Arsenal instantly started to boss the game and took the lead in the 27th minute through Olivier Giroud, who was played in by Kieran Gibbs, Gibbs himself put in a good position to pull the ball back after a superb pass from Santi Cazorla.
The Gunners quickly doubled their advantage, just two minutes later, and it was Giroud again doing the damage as he hit a well-struck volley into the net.
Middlesbrough were second best throughout the game, but did come close to pulling a goal back when striker Kike headed the ball against the post.
It was a comfortable afternoon's work for Arsenal though and they eased into the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
