Celtic Under-20 manager Stephen Frail was left enthused by his side's win over Falkirk yesterday and singled out Aleksandar Tonev for special praise for his performance in the match.
Frail’s side defeated Falkirk 2-0 courtesy of second half goals from Calvin Miller and Stefan Scepovic, a result which saw the Celtic youngsters make more ground in their bid to catch league leaders Hamilton.
Celtic’s performance on the night pleased their manager, who expressed his joy at their display, especially in the second half of their match.
“It was a good performance, especially second half and we got a good three points”, Frail told the club site.
Tonev was handful for Falkirk’s defenders and his creativity threatened to prise open the opposition's rearguard on several occasions.

The 25-year-old came close to scoring a goal on several occasions. He put the ball in the back of the net in the second half, but was ruled offside. Tonev provided the assist which resulted in Celtic’s second goal of the night.
The Bulgaria international, who is on loan at Celtic from English Premier League outfit Aston Villa, was singled out for special praise by Frail.
“Aleksandar Tonev was a real threat in the second half and we scored two good goals.”
The Hoops will now focus their energies on Hamilton whom they play in their Scottish Youth Cup tie on Monday.
