Ander Herrera has warned Arsenal that Manchester United are only going to improve before their FA quarter-final clash next month.

Manchester United booked their place in the last eight of the competition with a 3-1 win at Preston North End last night at Deepdale.

But it was not all smooth going for the team in red and a shock was on the cards when the League One side took the lead two minutes into the second half.

It was Herrera’s goal in the 65th minute that calmed the nerves of the Manchester United faithful before Marouane Fellaini and Wayne Rooney added a second and a third to send them through to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Manchester United will host Arsenal at home next month and Herrera admits that it will be a tough challenge for them to knock the holders out of the competition.

However, he warned the Gunners that Manchester United intend to go all the way in the competition and are only going to improve before their quarter-final clash at Old Trafford.

"We have to keep playing in this competition [and it will be] against Arsenal who are one of the best teams at the moment", the midfielder told MUTV.

"But we are Manchester United and have a very good spirit and we showed it today.

“We have very good players and very good staff and we are going to improve."
