Celtic manager Ronny Deila says he is proud of his players after they came from behind to draw 3-3 against Inter in the Europa League this evening, refusing to rule out progressing in the competition by grabbing a result at the San Siro next week.

It took just four minutes for Inter to take the lead at Celtic Park after Xherdan Shaqiri slotted the ball past Craig Gordon in the Bhoys' goal.

Inter then set about doubling their advantage through Rodrigo Palacio in the 13th minute, leaving Celtic reeling.

But the Bhoys fought back and in a two-minute blitz pulled themselves level, first Stuart Armstrong striking, following by a Hugo Campagnaro own goal a minute later, Armstrong having put pressure on the Inter defender, who turned the ball into his own net.

A Gordon mistake, as he failed to gather a ball from Gary Medel, allowed Inter to take the lead again however when Palacio grabbed his second on the stroke of half time.

Celtic did not give up though and in injury time, substitute John Guidetti hit a superb left-footed shot to make it 3-3.

Deila was left delighted at the spirit showed by his players, telling a press conference: "That was an unbelievable football match.

"I'm so proud of the boys. We've talked about being brave and that's why I'm proud. We caused them problems and got a result.

"Perhaps we could have got a better one because we gave them two easy goals."

Now Deila is looking towards the second leg and he has not lost hope, despite Inter holding an away goal advantage.

"We have to be a bit lucky and put together the best performance we have done under my command for the next leg. It can be done.

"I believe we can score in the San Siro. We can't concede as many as we did today and we will have to be much better in defence."
