Celtic boss Ronny Deila does not want any blame attaching to Craig Gordon after he committed a howler which allowed Inter to pull 3-2 ahead at Celtic Park this evening, in a Europa League game the Bhoys ultimately drew 3-3.

Roberto Mancini's men took the lead at Celtic Park in just the fourth minute after Xherdan Shaqiri finished clinically.

The Nerazzurri were soon 2-0 up courtesy of Rodrigo Palacio, who struck in the 13th minute to leave Celtic in real trouble on the night.

But Stuart Armstrong rescued the Scottish champions, scoring in the 24th minute before then putting enough pressure on Hugo Campagnaro that he turned the ball into his own goal a minute later.

Inter though would head into the half time break ahead when Gordon failed to gather a simple Gary Medel ball, allowing Palacio to score his second in the 45th minute.

The second half was fiercely fought and Celtic were determined not to lose on the night. They ultimately did avoid defeat when John Guidetti, on as a substitute, hit a left-footed shot in injury time which rippled the back of the net.

It had been an unbelievable 90 minutes of football and Deila was quick to insist post match that he does not want Gordon blaming.

"We wouldn't have been here if it wasn't for him", the Celtic manager told a press conference.

"He's important for the team and was unlucky today.

"I really appreciate the fans singing his name and we got back into the game because of the fans."

Deila admits he was concerned after his side went 2-0 down, but was left delighted with their mentality to come back into it.

"It was a tough start. We kept them under pressure, but it was two easy goals. I was worried, but we came back. That's strong mentality.

"We were physically strong and ended the game better than them. We got a lot of individual answers as well.

"I was happy that the fans were happy after the game. That's because they saw we fought for 90 minutes and played attacking football."
