Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino feels that his side did not get what they deserved this evening after they could only draw 1-1 at home against Fiorentina at White Hart Lane in the first leg of their round of 32 Europa League tie.
Roberto Soldado, started by Pochettino, put Spurs 1-0 up in only the sixth minute at White Hart Lane, the hosts taking control.
The lead would not last beyond the 36th minute though when Fiorentina drew level following a set piece from Stefan Savic being cleared by Hugo Lloris, but not far enough, with Jose Basanta the goalscorer.
Spurs threw first Harry Kane (66th minute), then Erik Lamela (73rd minute) and finally Ryan Mason (84th minute) onto the pitch in an effort to again pull ahead in the match.
But the north London side could not produce another goal and the first leg ended 1-1, leaving Pochettino feeling they deserved more, especially on the back of their first half display.

"I think we deserved more. We created more chances in the first half and dominated the opening 45 minutes", he told Spurs TV.
"I'm happy with the performance, but disappointed with the result. We need to go to Florence to try and win the game and progress.
"They have a similar philosophy to us. We'll have another open game and try and reach the next round", Pochettino concluded.
