Arsene Wenger feels Arsenal's 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace today will prove to be "very important" in the context of their season.
The Gunners wasted no time taking the lead at Selhurst Park after Pape Souare fouled Danny Welbeck in the penalty box in the 7th minute. Santi Cazorla made no mistake when he stepped up to take the spot kick.
Crystal Palace then suffered a hammer blow just before the half time whistle when Olivier Giroud hit a left-footed shot into the bottom right hand corner, putting Arsenal 2-0 ahead.
The hosts subjected Arsenal to pressure in the second half, really testing the Gunners defence. Palace dominated possession and had more shots on goal.
The breakthrough for Alan Pardew's men finally came in the 90th minute, with Glenn Murray helping the ball home following a scramble in the goalmouth.

Then, as the clock ticked down, Murray had a golden chance to equalise for the Eagles, but could not take it.
Arsenal had won and Wenger was left feeling the three points could prove to be vital.
"When they came back to 2-1 we were a bit lucky, but we fought and it was a very important win for us", he told a press conference.
"We can learn from every game and the players know that they switched off a little bit early, but we did well at the back."
And in terms of finishing in the top four this season, Wenger feels Arsenal's form at the Emirates Stadium will be key.
"It's all going to come down to our home form", he added.
