Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has claimed that his side have a more balanced look now, which is reflecting in their recent performances.
Goals from Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling helped Rodgers’ side to register a vital away win against Southampton, their fellow top four contenders, yesterday. The three points carried them to sixth in the league table and they are now just two points off fourth placed Manchester United.
Beaten just once in their last 17 in all competitions and on a ten-game unbeaten run in the league, Liverpool are approaching the final phase of the season in form and high on confidence.
Rodgers admits that their woeful start to the season was something he has never experienced at Anfield and said that he had to find solutions to get their campaign back on track.
The Liverpool boss feels his restructuring of the team, which saw them go with a 3-4-3 formation, has helped his side to find more balance between attacking and defending, which has led to their current run of form.
