England Under-19 international and MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli will be out for up to six weeks with an ankle injury.

The 18-year-old midfielder signed for Tottenham Hotspur on transfer deadline day earlier this month and was immediately loaned back to the Dons to help them in their promotion bid this season.

However, the youngster picked up an ankle injury in their win over Colchester United last week and initial diagnosis has revealed that he will not be available for selection until March.

According to the BBC, Alli will undergo treatment at his parent club Tottenham before returning to join Karl Robinson’s League One side, who are second in the table, for the rest of the campaign.

Alli has been instrumental in the Dons’ promotion bid so far this season and has scored 14 goals in 31 appearances in England’s third tear this term.
