Danny Welbeck is refusing to think about Arsenal’s recent struggles in the last 16 of the Champions League and has stressed that they are ready to set the record straight this season.
Arsenal have an unflattering record in the first knockout round of the competition in recent years and they have been knocked out of the Champions League at the stage for four seasons running.
The Gunners will welcome Monaco in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie at the Emirates tomorrow and Welbeck stressed that they are ready to make amends for their recent record in the knockout rounds.
The former Manchester United forward insisted that Arsenal are not thinking about their recent struggles in the last 16 and insisted that they are ready to give their best against Monaco over the two legs.
"You can't be looking too much into the past about what's happened”, Welbeck said in the press conference, via his club's site.
