Liverpool Under-19 centre-forward Jerome Sinclair has revealed that he has enjoyed playing in the UEFA Youth League and feels that the Reds are capable of winning the prestigious competition this season.
Sinclair holds the record for being the youngest first team debutante for Liverpool. He broke the record when Brendan Rodgers called him off the bench in a League Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion in September 2012.
Liverpool's youngsters qualified for the round of 16 after finishing second behind Real Madrid in their group, and they have been scheduled to play last season’s beaten finalists Benfica today.
Sinclair feels that playing in the continental tournament has been a good experience for him as he has come across “different opposition and different cultures.”
“It has been a really good experience for us to play in this competition, coming up against different opposition and different cultures”, the youngster told the club site.
