Inter Milan custodian Juan Pablo Carrizo has urged his team to forget about last night's win against Cagliari and concentrate on Thursday's Europa League tie against Celtic.

The Nerazzurri registered their third Serie A win in a row as they beat the relegation battlers 2-1 at their home last night.

The win is particularly significant as it has allowed Roberto Mancini's team to leapfrog a number of teams to be placed sixth in the league table with 35 points from 24 matches.

However, the 30-year-old insists that there is no time to ponder over their league form at present as they prepare to host Scottish champions Celtic in a Europa League round of 32 match in two days' time.

"It’s all the sweeter when you have to work for a victory, so I don’t mind too much", Carrizo told his club's official site, reflecting on Inter's win over Cagliari.

"It was a great night, but we have more tough matches ahead.

"We need to give 100 per cent on Thursday."

Mancini's team will have an away goal advantage on Thursday as they managed to put three past Celtic at Paradise in a 3-3 first leg draw.

A goalless draw will therefore be enough for the Italian giants when they take on Ronny Deila's team at the famous San Siro on Thursday.

As far as domestic fixtures are concerned, Inter Milan will take on Fiorentina next on Sunday.
