Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has revealed that the Citizens are looking to emulate Liverpool’s dramatic improvement in form of late, after the Citizens hit a poor run of form which has placed their Premier League title hopes in jeopardy.
The reigning Premier League champions have struggled to maintain a consistent run of form, dropping points against the big teams as well as the minnows in the league. In their last seven league fixture the Citizens have drawn three and lost two.
Manchester City’s inconsistent run of form has seen them lose ground on their title bid as they have gone five points behind Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea – and the London outfit have played a game fewer than their rivals.
With only 11 rounds of games remaining, the Premier League title appears to be fast slipping out of Manchester City’s grasp, and Hart believes a win over relegation strugglers Leicester City tomorrow would be his team’s first step towards a revival.
“We start again against Leicester and we have to try and get some momentum going”, Hart told the club site.

“The season is full of highs and lows and that’s the beauty of this league.”
The England international pointed out that high-flying Chelsea also experienced a blip in their form earlier this season.
And he added that Liverpool, who beat the Citizens 2-1 on Sunday, too struggled in the early part of the season, so much so that they appeared to be facing a campaign write-off. But they have hit their stride and are now unbeaten in their last 11 league fixtures.
Hart believes that it is not beyond Manchester City to enmulate Liverpool and start challenging for the title again.
”Chelsea have experienced it and look at Liverpool – they looked as though they could be relegated the way they started the season and now they’re flying and looking like they will qualify for the Champions League.
“We just need to catch fire at the right time.”
