Liverpool Under-21 defender Kevin Stewart is pleased with the Reds' win over Chelsea's Under-21s and he feels that every player in his team was on top of their game, which enabled the Merseyside outfit to register a comprehensive victory.
Harry Wilson put Michael Beale’s side ahead in the first half courtesy of a spot kick and Jerome Sinclair doubled the lead in the second half with his 22nd strike of the season to put the game beyond the visitors.
Stewart feels that their win over Chelsea was a team effort and anything short of a complete team effort would have cost the Reds three points.
“[We are] really happy with the win”, the youngster told LFC TV.
“I think everyone had to play well today, I think if there was anyone who was off form today then probably we would have lost it.

“Everyone was on top of their game”, he emphasised.
After a 1-0 win over Sunderland last week, the result was Liverpool’s second straight clean sheet and third win a row as they climbed to fifth in the table.
Stewart hopes that the Merseyside outfit continue their run of clean sheets in their upcoming matches.
“We got two clean sheets in a row now, hope we can build on that.”
With the Merseyside derby against Everton up next for Liverpool, Stewart hopes that the Reds continue their stellar form and prolong their winning streak.
“We are looking to get a win in the derby as much as we did here", he concluded.
