After finding a place in Dunga’s Brazil squad yesterday, Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho revealed his desire to secure a regular spot in his country's national team.
The Brazilian World Cup winning captain has selected the Liverpool man in the Brazil squad that will face France and Chile later this month.
Coutinho has only earned five international caps for the Selecao and was ignored for selection from their World Cup squad last summer by then-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
However, his consistent performances for Liverpool this season, where he has scored four goals and provided the same number of assists in the Premier League, put him back on the national selection radar and the Reds playmaker has found a place in the Selecao squad.
Coutinho admits that playing for the Selecao is always an honour for any Brazilian footballer and though Brazil’s rich talent pool means it is always difficult to secure a regular spot in the squad, he stressed that he intends to work hard to continue to find a place in his national team squad.
