Wigan Athletic boss Malky Mackay believes Leeds United received a big slice of luck in the Championship clash between the two teams yesterday.
Just a single goal separated the Latics and the Whites, after Alex Mowatt hit a superb shot into the back of the Wigan net six minutes into the second half.
Mackay's side dominated possession, corners and chances on goal throughout the afternoon at the DW Stadium, but could not find the breakthrough.
And he has bemoaned Leeds getting a slice of luck to win the game, while explaining his Wigan team were clearly on top throughout the match.
"We threw everything at them, especially in the second half, and to have six or seven balls flash across their area and us not to then put it in the net is disappointing", he told his club's site.

"We had the setback of their goal and I’ve looked at it again and it’s pretty unlucky because it bounces off Jason Pearce’s back and falls kindly for their player who has hit it well to be fair.
"From that moment on, it was one-way traffic and we managed to get the ball into their box and into dangerous areas, but we didn’t put it in the net and really that’s what counts at the end of the day."
Mackay also pointed to his side enjoying 60 per cent of the ball and registering 19 shots at Leeds' goal, insisting that such statistics should have resulted not just in a draw against Neil Redfearn's men, but a win.
"It’s about taking responsibility and making sure you make the difference; some of our lads did that today, 19 efforts on goal and nearly 60 per cent possession should end up in a win, never mind trying to get a point out of the game."
Wigan have ten games left to save their Championship status and find themselves eight points behind 21st placed Fulham. Redfearn's Leeds sit 16 points clear of the drop zone.
