Real Madrid and Manchester United have entered the race for Bayern Munich linked Torino full-back Matteo Darmian.

The 25-year-old full-back has been attracting the interest of some of the top European clubs with his performance in the Italian top flight with Torino.

Darmian broke in the Italian national team set-up last year and has now become a regular in Antonio Conte’s side with 12 international caps for the Azzurri already to his name.

Bayern Munich have been monitoring his progress in Turin and are eyeing a deal for him in the summer as a replacement for Rafinha.

However, the German champions are set to face stiff competition for the right-back’s signature as two European heavyweights in the form of Real Madrid and Manchester United have thrown their hats in the ring for Darmian.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are now keenly following the Italian international’s exploits at Torino.

While Los Blancos recently signed Danilo from FC Porto, Manchester United are believed to be in the market for a top quality right-back and Darmian features prominently on their shortlist of targets.

Darmian still has more than two years left on his contract with Torino and the club are expecting to extract a top price out of him if the Italian eventually leaves them this summer.
