Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers feels that his team needs more of a contribution from their centre-forwards, adding that he is looking to find a way to get more goals out of his strikers.

The Reds have struggled with the injury-induced long-term absence of their primary striker Daniel Sturridge who had netted 22 goals in the last campaign to help Liverpool stay in the hunt for the Premier League, but has made only 12 appearances this term so far.

In Sturridge’s absence, Rodgers has tried several combinations in the forward positions, including close season arrivals Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert before entrusting the goalscoring duties to Raheem Sterling.

And Rodgers has admitted that Liverpool’s current campaign has been beset by a lack of goals from his strikers, adding that he is looking to find solutions up front.

“We are still trying to find solutions at the top end of the field”, the manager told his club’s site.
